The Wedding Couple – Le Limo’s Trolley and the Rolls!

Posted by Michael Foilb on Tue, Oct 21, 2014 @ 03:19 PM

Trolley and Rolls Royce
Le Limo's Custom-Built Luxury Trolley paired with our Vintage Rolls Royce in the autumn sun.
One of the most popular choices for wedding parties is the combination of our 1960 Silver Cloud Rolls Royce and our Custom-Built Luxury Trolley. Typically, the bride and groom travel to and from the reception in the Rolls as well as stop for a photo shoot. The Rolls makes for stunning scenery behind a beautiful bride. The trolley is used to transport bridal parties and wedding guests. With the increased liability on the hosts for drinking and driving, the trolley is a high class way to get your group to and from the event safely.

The Trolley
The Custom-Built Luxury Trolley is a magnificent vehicle equipped to seat 36 passengers. This Trolley has plush leather perimeter seating, wood grain exterior trim, LED accent lighting, it’s adorned with metallic gold graphics, oak interior trim, classic brass hand rails, brass bell with pull ringer, it has an onboard mini bar with glass stemware, a premium sound system, and an electronic front designation sign. The trolley was custom designed for Le Limo by Cable Car Classics in San Francisco, CA, it is is the first of its kind in the US.

1960 Silver Cloud Rolls Royce
This car is the epitome of class and refinement. The snow-white 1960 Silver Cloud Rolls Royce preserves its vintage appearance with its immortal "Spirit of Ecstasy" hood ornament, its memorable lines and its traditional wide white wall tires. The Rolls has fully restored classic features, a dove grey leather interior with beautiful burled walnut trim and has A/C for those hot summer weddings. It is the quintessential backdrop for photographs and a favorite with our brides who want to make their special day even more memorable.

These are genuinely unique transportation options that truly exemplify the elegance of your special day. Of course, we have more traditional options as well with our fleet which includes limos, Mercedes Sprinters, Party Buses, stretch SUVs and more. However, we only have one Trolley and one Rolls and sometimes they are booked over a year in advance. If you’re considering adding these vehicles to augment the grace and sophistication of your event, call us now at 508-842-4790.

Planning the Wedding Day Photo Shoot

Posted by Michael Foilb on Wed, Jan 08, 2014 @ 11:58 AM

Sometimes it’s just safer to explicitly tell your photographer about the images you want to capture at your wedding. It’s a good idea to make a checklist of any images that you think are important on your special day. We wanted to give you an outline of some classic shots that our favorite photographers use.

describe the image

Briana Moore Photography

Have the photographer take pictures of the process of getting ready. Get a shot of the wedding dress on a hanger. Other important articles to put on the photographer’s radar, bride and bridesmaids' bouquets, bride's jewelry, the wedding invitation and the engagement ring and wedding bands

Other photo ops during prep include, the bride applying her makeup, the bridesmaids and/or mother of the bride helping the bride into her gown, putting on the veil. For the groom get a shot of him tying his tie and pinning on boutonniere of the wedding party members.

Some typical shots for the bride include the bride alone, then with both mom and dad and then a picture of the bride alone with just mom and then just dad. Take pictures of the bride with the rest of the immediate family, siblings, grandparents, aunt, uncles, etc. You’ll want to add a shot of the bride with her mother-in-law and then with the maid of honor. Pictures should also be taken of the bride and with her bridesmaids and the bride with her flower girl.

Snap the same set of pictures for the groom (except add the ring bearer). After these shots you want to take similar photos with both the bride and the groom in the shot.

Then there are the important ceremony shots. Like when the groom first sees the bride. Include various shots that capture the venue. Pictures should be taken of the wedding party as they walk down the aisle. You want the photographer to capture the vows and the exchanging of rings and then the all-important first kiss. Take pictures of the bride and groom leaving for the service which should be followed by the bride arriving in the limo at the ceremony.

The photographer should take multiple candids at the reception and add to the mix, room shots, close up of the seating cards, close up of the centerpieces. Then there are the first dances, which you’ll want captured, and then the toasts, plus the cutting of the cake. The garter and bouquet toss make fun pictures and finally you’ll want a shot of the couple leaving the venue in their limousine.

Finding Quality Vendors for your Wedding Day

Posted by Jennifer Brugliera on Wed, Apr 04, 2012 @ 02:00 PM

Planning a wedding can be stressful and confusing.  You have so many choices and people giving you advice.  You have down loadable planners and binders to keep track of all your phone calls and visits.  You get all sorts or emails from wedding vendors and it can be all consuming.  What no one actually tells you is HOW TO PICK your vendors.  What qualifications should they have?  What insurance requirements should they have?  What makes them different or better than someone else in their industry?  What should you expect to pay for a quality service provider?

 bridal meeting

The best way to choose your vendors is to meet with all of them IN PERSON and ask for referrals from other vendors you have already chosen.  A wedding vendor performs services for hundreds of brides and grooms every year.  They know the latest trends, and who is the best in the business.  They also know who you should stay away from.  Yes, it is a slippery slope to NOT recommend someone but there are ways to be politically correct.

Some great sources for referrals are available at The Platinum Wedding Group.  They are a great resource for Central Massachusetts weddings.

Another great place to search is Wedding Wire.  However, some of the testimonials on their site are not from real brides and they do not check the reviews for authenticity so use your own judgement.

Beantown bride is a great source for Boston based brides.  They have great articles and blogs.

Lastly, since this is a limousine service blog, we have created some great information pages for you to review for some qualification and benchmarks you should look for when renting limo service.  They can be found by following all the links on our website under the About Us category.

5 Things you MUST know before hiring a limo service

Posted by Jennifer Brugliera on Wed, Oct 05, 2011 @ 03:48 PM

All limousine services are NOT the same.  Before choosing a limousine service be sure to do your homework and know exactly what you are going to be paying for.

  • Limousine services must maintain the federal limits of liability insurance in order to cross state lines with passengers.  These limits are 1.5 million for vehicles under 14 passengers and 5 million dollars for larger vehicles.
  • Limousine services are structured so that chauffeurs should be EMPLOYEES and covered under the company's Workers Compensation policy (in case they were to get hurt on YOUR property).  Some companies still use the old subcontractor structure in order to avoid paying payroll taxes, Workers Compensation Policies, and proper drug and alcohol testing.
  • Limousines have a "shelf life" and should be inspected prior to hiring.
  • You get what you pay for!  If it sounds too good to be true, 99% of the time it is.
  • Check reviews, testimonials, the Better Business Bureau for complaints filed, and ask friends for referrals.

Le Limo Boston Wedding Limo Transportation Tips

Posted by Michael Foilb on Sat, Oct 01, 2011 @ 12:29 PM

boston trolley

For more than 30 years, brides have turned to Le Limo to provide transportation for a wide variety of points of their itineraries.  Many clients love to use wedding vehicles as an effective and safe way to move family, guests, bridal party members and, of course, the bride and groom.

As you plan, there are some timing pitfalls you should be aware of.  In order to help you decide if multiple trips are the best option for your event please note the following:

  • Make sure the chauffeur has a point of contact that will make the final decision on when the vehicle will depart each location.
  • Make sure you include the round trip time for each transfer.  (Google maps is a great site to build a proposed itinerary that includes drive times and routes)
  • Be sure your guests know when they are expected to be boarding the vehicle.
  • Build in extra time for each trip based on "loading" and "unloading" and traffic delays.
  • Remember that the chauffeur must obey all traffic laws and will not speed to "make up time" if your guests are delayed.
  • Send a printed itinerary that includes your designated point of contact for the day of service (with cell#) to the office for the chauffeur to take with him/her on the day of your event.
  • If you are able to include a manifest of names or a head count for each trip that is very useful as well.

Wedding day transportation timing is crucial to the success of your day.  Delays can cause shortened ceremonies, missed cocktail hours, and longer receptions and additional charges from other vendors.  Proper planning can be the difference between a successful stress free day and chaos and confusion.  Our staff at Le Limo can help you create a properly timed itinerary and advise you of any additional timing issues you need to take into consideration (ceremonies vs. full mass, photo stops, receiving lines, road closures or construction delays, roads our vehicles are not allowed to travel on such as Hanover Street, Memorial Drive, etc..).  We look forward to helping you plan a spectacular wedding day!
